Beginning My Career in Video Journalism

Excitement: n. a feeling of great enthusiasm and eagerness. 

When I first heard about the Youth Media Project, I was excited about writing and having my ideas be able to go from brain to mouth to fingers. The idea that there would be houses excited me, like Hogwarts but for writing!

I left for a week and got back. I was eager to find out my house but in the meantime, I hung out in the Video Grave with everyone. It was pretty cool in there, and all the people were even cooler. Everyone was super chill throwing around a ball, talking, discussing ideas, and just all around being interesting. I went out to get water, and Adria informed me I was in the Writing house, so I got my stuff and I moved to the Writing workshop.

When I first got into the writing room, I missed the video room. And I attempted to wait it out and to try to get used to the different environment, but I am a very impatient person. So I did what any normal person would do in my situation: I requested to move to the video room. After some mild questioning, Adria moved me, and I began my career in video journalism. The ideas were definitely flowing. The atmosphere definitely felt intensely creative, and truly I'm excited for the future of the video house.
